Privacy Policy for BucklerForge

Last updated: August 6, 2026 (renamed from Card Battler to Iron Warden, then to BucklerForge)

BucklerForge ("the app") does not collect any personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, or contact details. It does not require an account, sign-in, or profile of any kind to play.

Anonymous device identifier

The app signs in to Firebase Authentication anonymously on first launch. This creates a random identifier tied to your device, not to you personally — there is no name, email, or other personal detail attached to it. This identifier is used to let purchased coins be reliably credited to the correct device (see "In-app purchases" below), to group crash/error reports from the same device (see "Crash and error reporting" below), and to group app-usage events from the same device (see "Analytics" below).

Local storage

Your game progress — collection, deck, coins balance, campaign progress, and play/win streaks — is saved on your own device using standard on-device storage. This data is not transmitted anywhere except where noted below.

In-app purchases

Coin purchases are processed through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat, a third-party purchase management service. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat and Google process the transaction and notify the app's backend so the coins you bought can be credited. The backend stores only the minimum needed to do this reliably: your anonymous device identifier, the product purchased, the coin amount, and a timestamp. No payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) ever pass through or are stored by the app or its backend — that's handled entirely by Google Play and RevenueCat under their own privacy policies.

Crash and error reporting

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to automatically report crashes and handled errors (for example, a purchase that failed to complete) so problems can be found and fixed. Each report includes technical diagnostic information: device model, operating system version, app version, general device state (such as available memory), and a short technical description of what went wrong. Reports are linked to the same anonymous device identifier described above, not to your name, email, or any other personal detail. This data is used only to diagnose and fix problems in the app and is governed by Google's Crashlytics privacy terms.

Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example, which features are used, how far players progress, and whether purchases complete successfully — so it can be improved over time. This includes general device and usage information (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and approximate region derived from IP address) and in-app events (such as completing a campaign level, upgrading a card, or opening a card pack). This data is linked to the same anonymous device identifier described above, not to your name, email, or any other personal detail, and is not used for advertising or shared with advertisers. It is governed by Google's Firebase Analytics privacy terms.

Notifications

If you opt in to daily streak reminders, the reminder is scheduled entirely on your own device using the operating system's local notification system. No data about this is sent anywhere, and it can be turned off at any time from within the app.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising and no marketing or ad-tracking software. The third-party services involved are Google Play Billing and RevenueCat (processing in-app purchases, described above), Firebase Crashlytics (crash/error reporting, described above), and Firebase Analytics (usage analytics, described above). None of these are used to track you across other apps or websites.

Internet access

The app is playable offline. An internet connection is used only for the anonymous sign-in, to process in-app purchases, and to upload crash/error reports and analytics events.

Children's privacy

Because the app collects no personal information from any user, it is safe for use by users of any age, including children. Parents should be aware the app offers optional in-app purchases of coins using real money.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
